Buzz Aldrin is an American astronaut and the second person to walk on the Moon. He was part of the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, which was the first manned mission to land on the Moon. Aldrin followed Neil Armstrong, who became the first human to step on the lunar surface.

After his time with NASA, Aldrin retired from active military service and became a speaker and author. He has written several books, including his autobiography “Return to Earth” and “Mission to Mars: My Vision for Space Exploration”. He also served as a consultant for NASA and other organizations.
